Incredibly, after apologizing to Rock and being threatened with disciplinary action by the Academy, Smith is leaning into his new slap-happy image by signing on to play Moe in a new film adaptation of The Three Stooges. “I want to use my slap to do good in the world, not evil,” Smith told us. “I want to make people laugh with my slap.” Smith will earn $60 million for the film, but he says it’s about more than money. “It’s about slapping people, straight up. I love it.”
