Debbie hails from Breaux Bridge and graduated from Breaux Bridge High School in 1980 before spending 15 years working in banking before returning to Pellerin Funeral Homes as an embalmer and director. A 1995 graduate of Delgado Community College, Debbie holds funeral director and embalmer certifications and membership in the American Institute of Embalmers and Funeral Directors and Louisiana Funeral Directors Association legislative committee memberships. Furthermore, Debbie attends Our Savior’s Church while remaining an enthusiastic fan of Ragin’ Cajun Athletics!

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Abbeville for Lilly Borel Bergeron, 85, Erath. She was a homemaker. Lilly is survived by her husband, Robert J. Bergeron; two daughters, Joyce B. Firmin and Louella Latiolais, both from Erath; six grandchildren; Tyrone Alexander was one of four pallbearers while Robert Ledet, Nelson Wiltz, and Edward Wiltz assisted as pallbearers at her funeral services. Burial was at St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville.
