Prashanth Neel’s KGF: Chapter 2 releasing on Thursday, 14 April, 2022 with Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist and Yash as the protagonist has broken multiple records for its advance booking and collected gross of over 33 crores domestically. Data for which has been collected using multiple theatre and cinema chains across the nation.
The film had sold approximately 13 Lakh tickets on Wednesday itself, and is bound to rise in numbers gradually. The net totals on that day went upto an unwavering 27 crores.
Studying this trend, KGF: Chapter 2 has the great capacity to collect 70 to 80 crores on its opening day and maybe even cross the 100 crore box office collection on its opening weekend. This action drama has the ability to cross the world blockbuster Avengers: End Game that collected 53 crore on its opening day nationwide.
KGF: Chapter 1 had released in 2018, and people all around have been eagerly waiting for its sequel, and after four years, now that it is finally ready to premiere, KGF: Chapter 2’s demand is raging. It is reported to be running at an occupancy of sixty to eighty percent in cinema halls, with both figures to be its minimum and maximum range.
Siddharth Anand’s WAR holds the record of selling 4.05 lakh tickets in advance in terms of a Bollywood film, followed by Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, with Baahubali 2 being a wholly different competition. KGF 2 has made a sale of 3.6 Lakh tickets and is aiming to cross War in the big 3 cinema chains of India, i.e PVR, Inox and Cinepolis.
KGF: Chapter 2 is already setting a high bar in the Hindi cinema and is growing super fast. What remains now to be seen is how strong the spot bookings for the movie will do, to determine its sale figure and measure its commercial success.
