Henry Ford’s 1908 Detroit home up for grabs

The property includes garages with car washes; Edsel Ford, who was a teenager in the home, had a workshop over the garage. The house has thick wood, an upstairs ballroom-turned-sitting-area, five bedrooms, four and a half baths and quirks such as dusting and sleeping porches and a kitchen flour bin. Most of the toilets and tubs are original, and a sort of intercom system, while not functioning, remains in place. Most of the fixtures also are original, Mitchell said.

Clara Ford’s hatboxes are still there, as are ledges in Edsel Ford’s room where he placed his drawings.
