The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first-ever South-Asian superhero in Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel has won hearts since the series launch on Disney+ Hotstar for its representation of South Asian culture and for featuring iconic Bollywood talent in key roles. The series revolves around Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, a South-Asian teenager growing up in Jersey City. Fans who have been speculating about Farhan Akhtar’s role in Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel finally got a glimpse of the actor’s much-awaited role.
In this new clip from the series, we get a glimpse of the actor as his cryptic character, Waleed. The clip shows Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel’s first encounter with the character, where we witness him make an entrance in ethnic robes, his personality shrouded in an air of mystery. In his conversation with Ms. Marvel, he tells her that he knows the legend of her great-grandmother, Aisha. Waleed remarks, “When you’re ready, we have much to discuss”. The new clip leaves us wanting more – how is Farhan Akhtar’s character connected to Ms. Marvel’s past and what role will he play in her future journey? We can’t wait to watch the series and find out!
